About Alex
Alex Kluesner, CFA® serves as an institutional services advisor at Buckingham. Alex shares a variety of responsibilities helping us establish collaborative, strategic advisory relationships with our clients through our outsourced chief investment officer service model. In particular, Alex focuses on Buckingham’s Evidence-Driven Investing™ philosophy, constructing portfolios aligned with each client’s goals. He also helps clients understand those portfolios through client education and our institutional reporting process.
Alex has been with Buckingham since 2019. Prior to joining the institutional services team, he was a member of Buckingham’s investment strategy team as an investment strategist and manager of investment strategy associates. In that role, he supported Buckingham’s Investment Policy Committee as well as the firm’s broader community of advisors conducting research projects, writing market commentaries and educating clients and advisors on Buckingham’s Evidence-Driven Investing™ philosophy. He also played a contributing role in the development and ongoing maintenance of the investment strategy team’s educational content and model-portfolio reporting.
Alex earned a CFA® designation and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the University of Missouri—St. Louis as well as a bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Missouri—Columbia. Alex has more than seven years of experience in the financial services industry.
